Problem with Comand 2.0 and the Telephone system - https://www.mb-treff.de/forum/thread.php?id=7487

Hello from Bulgaria,

I turn to you with a special request for help. A year ago I bought a Mercedes CLK W209. I drove the car in workshop because I wanted to installed a CD-Changer. And from there the problems started. The mechanics failed to install the changer, then noticed that the navigation and the phone no longer work. Now, the computer recorded the following errors:

B1762 Fault in CAN communication with component A40/3n2 (Navigation processor).
N1112 No data transfer between D2B master and D2B predecessor component possible.

I Changed the telephone module (back in the trunk) just plug-and-play, but again telephone doesn't work. After that I removed this module and now the navigation work, but the phone doesn't work. On the display writes: No Phone, Tel Error. Someone have idea for my problem?

Sorry for my bad english.

I disconnected battery for 10 minutes. Then I restarted the fiber optic cable and I erased all faults. Now sometimes works the phone sometimes not work. When not works I turning off and then turning on the audio system Comand and unplug and plug the phone and he works again. Have any idea where is the problem and how I can fix it? And when I turn off the car and after few minutes the phone turns itself off. Thank you!

Battery disconnect is not the reboot I mean, the reboot can only be done with the StarDiagnose. This helped in my System last year. Maybe you too.

Hello again,
I change the all optical cable with new and the problem is the same. Is it possible the problem is in Comand? When I tryed to reading the telephone module with Star Diagnoses I recieved error similar to "Too low voltage" and for that I think that the problem may be in telephone module, but how I can be sure? Because sometimes the telephone works, sometimes not works. And when I disconnect the battery, after that the first time the telephone works and I read successful the module. Anyone have any idea?
